    Hey Urvashi,

Okay - lots of 'thinking' and speculation prompted by these excerpts and that's excellent, but I'm going to ask you to put the breaks on a bit. While the idea of the 'origin' of the dinosaurs themselves is indeed the stuff of high-concept screenplays, for me, it feels like an imposition on the original text - force-fields? No, it just feels as if you're mixing your genres. That said, the idea of including the dinosaur eggs as props in your various scenes is a great way of referencing the monsters, without swerving the emphasis of the unit. The notion that the natives are somehow using/exploiting the dinosaurs is interesting however, and I'd develop this concept further, but please listen out for Conan Doyle spinning in his grave! :) Those rope bridges are incredible and lend themselves to your world, but beware that 'side-on' view of them compositionally - if you were to move the POV so we're looking across the bridge, you'd lead our eye as opposed to building a visual blockade across the image. Also, get used to thumbnailing at 16:9 - because that format encourages better compositions and a more expansive canvas.

Re. your written assignment - there's not enough specific content in your introduction - it's all rather waffly at the moment. Your first job with this essay will be to demonstrate your knowledge of the 'production design' and 'visual concept' generally, before you apply it to your chosen film. You need to demonstrate your understanding of these concepts and their role in the story-telling process. Please check out the Unit 2 related stuff in the Rough Guide, as this will help you get your structure right and tighten your focus. I suggest too that you create a 'research post' in which you gather in all your supporting quotes about the role of production design generally, and specifically in terms of Tron. There are a number of resources about Production Design available to you on myUCA. Use them - which means 'read them!'
